When Should I Leave Sewanee To Catch My Flight?
When Traveling between Nashville and Sewanee
Allow a minimum of 2 1/2 hours between van departure from Sewanee and plane boarding time (not departure time.)
When Traveling between Chattanooga to Sewanee
In the Chattanooga Airport, the van departs from the baggage claim area. Look for a University van and listen for the loudspeaker announcement calling Sewanee students at van department time. Remember: Chattanooga is on eastern standard time.
How Much Luggage Can I Bring?
Arrive at the Bishop's Common early with no more than two pieces of luggage. Returning back to the airport you should also have no more than two pieces of luggage due to limited space in vehicles.
What If My Flight Is Late?
Shuttles will wait 15-30 minutes for unanticipated delays, however, if an airline indicates an arrival later than 30 minutes, the shuttle will leave on schedule. If you are left at the airport due to delayed flights it will your responsibility to get a hotel room close to the airport and stay overnight until a shuttle can pick you up the following morning. Additional luggage can be sent through UPS.

Can I Cancel?
Yes, please cancel if you will not be utilizing the shuttle service; however, cancellations made after the one week deadline are nonrefundable. How to Sign Up
Students must sign up for the shuttle service at the Bishop's Common front desk at least one week prior to the departure date (specific deadlines are noted.) Flight arrangements must be congruent with the shuttle service's schedule.
To reserve a seat on the shuttle you must call the Bishop's Common front desk at (931) 598-1201 with the following:

Pay a $35.00 one-way fee at the time you reserve your seat.
If this information is not given your seat on the shuttle is not confirmed. The number of students traveling on the shuttle determines whether we use a charter bus service or university vans. If your travel plans change or if you will not be on the shuttle, please notify Barbara Banks in the Bishop's Common at (931) 598-1201.
How late can I make a reservation?
Reservations made after the one week deadline will cost $40.00; however, after the deadline we cannot guarantee a seat on the shuttle.
Where Do I Meet the Shuttle in Nashville?
In the Nashville Airport, the pick-up point will be on the second floor. If you do not find the van, go to the Tennessee Information Desk in the baggage claim area. The driver checks with them upon arrival and before departure. Our drivers will check flight information and arrangements to meet delayed incoming flights.
