for ambitious Sewanee students.










Although students interested in careers in business, education, engineering, law, or
medicine cannot major in these subjects at Sewanee, they will receive excellent
preparation for the world of work or post-graduate study through careful selection of
courses and by taking advantage of internships, research opportunities, advising, and
co-curricular events such as lectures and networking with alumni.

Education
Sewanee offers a minor in education that prepares students for graduate programs in teaching, research, administration and other areas of education.  We also have an agreement with the Peabody College of Education at Vanderbilt University for those wishing to pursue graduate study in elementary, secondary, early childhood, special education and additional fields. For students graduating between 2008 and 2010, we also offer a program that leads to teaching licenses in thirteen secondary areas, and K through 12 licenses in art and theatre.
