Conducted on the University Domain with visits to other pre-eminent sites in Tennessee, the Sewanee Field School in Archaeology provides an intensive six-week experience where students both survey and excavate within the context of ongoing research projects on the Southern Cumberland Plateau. Students will develop field and lab skills as well as gain hands-on experience with the latest geophysical and mapping instrumentation. Environmental Archaeology is a theme throughout the course. The course does not fulfill a laboratory science requirement. No prerequisite.
