Society of Sewanee Scholars

The Society of Sewanee Scholars is composed of over 130 academic scholarship recipients at Sewanee: The University of the South. As a society we aim to create a support network for members in their academic pursuits and foster relationships with university professors and administrators. The society organizes different activities throughout the year and provides leadership opportunities for members. The main activities include a picnic at the beginning of each academic year to welcome new members of the SOSS, and the Spring “Best Teaching Practices” Dinner where recent examples of compassionate and innovative teaching and learning are showcased and celebrated.
