Preparing for a Career in the Health Professions
Students interested in any health profession, such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, nursing, and pharmacy, should attend the first Health Professions Advisory Meeting that is held during registration week.
During this meeting students are asked to register with the Health Professions Advisory Committee so that they will receive periodic e-mails that inform them of advising meetings, campus health profession events, and summer internship notifications.
Students will also be advised which courses that they need to enroll in to begin a smooth transition in college as they prepare to enter the health professional school of their choice.
During this first meeting with the chair of the Health Professions Advisory Committee, students will have an opportunity to ask questions about campus events and courses that are either required or recommended to prepare for a career in the various health professions.
