The Provost, Dr. John Swallow, is the chief administrative and executive assistant to the Vice Chancellor. He works with the Vice Chancellor in the formulation and implementation of University policy, procedures, and overall operations. He assists with planning faculty relations, appointments, promotions, and the preparation of the University budget. The Provost, the Dean of the College, and the Dean of the School of Theology work together in matters pertaining to academic and faculty policy, including levels of faculty compensation. The Provost presides at meetings of the Joint Faculties of the University.
