The Orientation Committee would like to welcome you to The University of the South and the Sewanee community. We have designed an orientation program to acquaint you with the school’s programs, services, and facilities and to make your student's transition to Sewanee easier.

Saturday, August 23, 2008: "Unpack and Settle"
1:00 – 5:00pm: Registration (Main Quad)
1:00 – 5:00pm: Welcome to Sewanee (Residence Halls)
1:00 – 5:00pm: BC open for UPS pick-up
1:00 – 5:00pm: SPO open for USPS and FedEx pick-up
6:30pm: Picnic Supper for Families with University faculty and staff (Quad)
Students have activities after supper. Parents have free time.
Sunday, August 24, 2008: "Building Relationships"
8:00 – 10:30am: Welcome Reception and Continental Breakfast (Main Quad)
8:00 – 10:00am: New Student Check-in (Main Quad)
9:00 – 10:00am: The University Chapel Service (All Saint’s Chapel)
10:00 – 3:00pm: University Offices open
Business Office, Financial Aid, Personnel Services, Bookstore, Dean of Students, etc.)
10:30 – 11:30am: Parents’ Orientation Session I (Guerry Auditorium)
11:30am – 1:00pm: Luncheon (McClurg)
1:15 – 2:15pm: Parents’ Orientation Session II (All Saint’s Chapel)
2:30 – 3:00pm: The Vice Chancellor’s Formal Welcome (All Saints Chapel)
3:00 pm: Carillon Recital (All Saint’s Chapel)
3:00 – 3:45pm: The Vice Chancellor’s Reception (Clement Chen Hall)
Parents depart campus at 3:45 pm.
