Ensemble & PerformanceThe SSMF presents over two dozen concerts each summer, including performances by students, faculty, and guest artists. All students have the opportunity to perform each week as well as to hear world class concerts with a rich array of repertoire. Student orchestras, the Sewanee Symphony and the Sewanee Philharmonia prepare and present a new program each Sunday afternoon. Every student performs on stage with a chamber ensemble each week. Special concerts, masterclasses, and the Concerto Competition Concert afford a tremendous variety of performance opportunity for all Sewanee students. Students of the Music Festival are expected to attend all Festival concerts and admitted to all concerts free of charge. A complete calendar of events is published in the early spring and can be obtained by contacting the SSMF office at 931.598.1225, or via e-mail at ssmf@sewanee.edu. The concert listings are posted on this Web site as well and can be accessed via the links to the left.
