Theta Pi sorority is a well-rounded, fun-loving, and spirited organization. Founded in the winter of 1979, we’ve grown to become one of the largest and more diverse sororities on campus with over one hundred members hailing from all over the country. We pride ourselves on being a close-knit group whose individual personalities combine to produce a dynamic collective one. We look forward to seeing you all on the Mountain!

Community Service
Theta Pi is particularly proud of its commitment to bettering the Sewanee community. Not only do our members pursue independent service opportunities, from working at the Humane Society to mentoring elementary school students through Big People for Little People, the sorority as a whole participates in several projects. One of the members' favorite projects is working with Blue Monarch, a women and children's shelter located right off the mountain. Not only do we collect goods for them and help out at the center, we are proud of our fundraiser for them: the Theta Pi/Blue Monarch Turkey Trot, a 5K run around Sewanee held each November.
RUSH: Rush is an exciting time for Sewanee students. During the Spring, Sewanee has Formal Rush, while in the Fall, Upperclassman Rush provides another chance to get involved in Greek Life on the Mountain. At Theta Pi, rush is an anticipated time because new friendships are constantly formed year after year. Some rush events Theta Pi has hosted include: "Blue Whales," "White Christmas," and "Grease" which is performed during house visits. We look forward to seeing you in the Spring!
SOCIAL LIFE: Each year Theti Pi hosts and co-hosts a number of exciting social functions both on and off the mountain. Our favorites include "Kentucky Derby" each party weekend, our graduation party featuring Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts, Halloween and Blue Whales with Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and band parties with Kappa Alpha and other fraternities. Regardless of who's hosting the party, you know you'll find a Theta Pi there!
