The Phi Society of 1883 is a local fraternity supported by a diverse membership and strong alumni base. Formerly Phi Delta Theta, The Phi Society of 1883 was created after members initiated a separation from Phi Delta Theta National in the fall of 2005 for reasons of autonomy and establishing a local governing body. The Phi Society, in the long tradition of Phi Delta Theta, continues to lead as one of the strongest Greek organizations on campus, distinguishing itself in the realms of academia, varsity athletics, community service, and social activities.
