The 3rd Annual "Turkey Trot" was held on Saturday, 11/17/07, to benefit Blue Monarch, a residential program for women and children recovering from addictions and abuse. This joint service event, sponsored by 3 university sororities - Theta Pi, PKE and TKP - was an amazing success raising over $19,000 (the original goal was $6,000)! This is the largest donation ever received by Blue Monarch from the Sewanee community.
200+ people participated in the days activities that included a 5K and 1 mile run as well as children's activities; university students, staff and faculty participated in addition to community members!
